I like to think that yes, they could. Sorta.
I know its a pretty common headcanon to have Karkat as a little shortstop and Kanaya as tall and slender, but initially my first thoughts of their physical attributes were almost the opposite.
I had pictured Kanaya to be short and a bit fuller (following with motherly archetypes here) and Karkat to be somewhat taller.
Just something I was thinking about this morning.
